Samarium-cobalt magnets belong to the group "Rare Earth" and are produced by powder metallurgy sintering. This magnetic material combines high temperature resistance with very high magnetic forces. The magnetic properties are stable even in applications with stronger opposing fields.
Quality / Grade: Available for all application areas. Typical magnetic properties on request.
Magnetization Standard: Standard magnetized by the height "H" anisotropic.
Properties
- mechanical: Very brittle, sensitive to impact.
- chemical: Due oxidation-resistant.
Application: Adhesive systems, separation systems, engines, measurement technology.
Working temperature: From - 40 ° C to + 250 ° C. The adhesive force decreases reversibly with increasing temperature according to material-typical temperature coefficient and a function of the magnetic dimension. If the max. operating temperature exceeded, the magnetic force decreases irreversibly.

Excerpt of standard dimensions, design sharp, without surface protection. | ![]() | Samarium-cobalt magnets - SmCo |
